About GrillMath
Free calculators for barbecue, smoking and cooking meat.
What we do
Anyone who barbecues or smokes meat runs into the same questions every time: how much meat to buy, how long each cut takes, when to start and when it's done. GrillMath gives you quick, clear answers on your phone, with no sign-up, even with the grill fired up.
Every calculator works in imperial units by default (pounds, ounces and °F), with a metric option, and runs entirely in your browser.
Where our numbers come from
Food safety figures, such as safe minimum internal temperatures, resting times and safe thawing methods, follow the guidelines of the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service. Each calculator cites its sources.
Some figures have no official source, such as smoking times or how much meat each guest eats. In those cases we use well-established references, say so on the page and present the result as an estimate. Cooking times always depend on your equipment and the meat itself: use a meat thermometer to know when it's done.
Who we are
GrillMath is made by Realwigo S.L.U., a small Spanish company that also runs other free tools: wikitel.org, buenascuentas.es and carni.es, our recipe site in Spanish.
